What we do
Every child in daycare, after-school centres, and primary schools should experience high-quality early STEM Education for Sustainable Development. Well-qualified educators are key to this. With our nationwide training programme, we support early childhood educators and primary school teachers so they can guide children in their process of exploration and inquiry, thus preparing them for the future.
We have already been able to reach 90,000 professionals from approximately 36,700 institutions and therefore around 3.2 million children. Thanks to your donation, we can offer even more children the chance to learn and grow from an early age. There are charges for certain payment methods. For SEPA payments, the fee is €1.45 for each transaction. For payments with credit cards there will be a charge of 1.2% of the donation amount plus €0.25 per transaction. For donations via PayPal there is a fee of €0.35 plus 1.2% of the donation amount.
If you choose to donate directly to our donation account, there are no charges. -
Your donation is tax-deductible in Germany. Donations up to €300.00 are recognised by the Finanzamt (German Federal Central Tax Office) with no need for a donation certificate. The bank statement is valid as a receipt for the Finanzamt.
Please consult your tax advisor or tax office to determine whether donations to our non-profit foundation are tax-deductible in your country, as this depends on national tax laws.

Your address is only required if you wish to receive a donation receipt for your contribution. You can send your personal details to the Donation Team anytime by email: spenden@stiftung-kinder-forschen.de

For donations of €20 or more a year, you will receive a receipt by the end of March of the following year at the latest. Other common German terms for the donation receipts (Spendenquittungen) that might show up are “Spendenbescheinigung” and “Zuwendungsbestätigung ”. The receipt will be issued in German only, as it is an official document provided by the German tax authorities.
If you need a donation receipt at the moment, you can always contact us to request it. Please send an email to spenden@stiftung-kinder-forschen.de. Don’t forget to include the following details:
✔ First and last name of the donator
✔ Postal address
✔ Donation amount
✔ Donation year
Companies, associations, foundations and/or other donators who donate more than €3,000 in a year get an individual receipt three to four weeks after the entry has been made so that their donation can be deducted from taxes. These receipts are sent automatically, so you won’t need to request them from us.
If you have any questions about tax deductibility or other matters, please contact your tax advisor or the relevant tax authority, as this depends on the different national tax laws.

If you have not received any receipt by the end of March, this may be due to the following reasons:
1. You didn’t include your postal address by transferring. In this case you are welcome to send us an email requesting a donation certificate. Be sure to indicate your postal address and the donation date.
2. You didn’t indicate that you would like to receive the donation receipt. For this case you can also send us an email, don’t forget your postal address and donation date.
3.If the respective donation has already been confirmed with an individual certificate, it will not be noted again on the annual donation receipt (each donation can only be documented once).
4. Donations made shortly before the turn of the year by debit or bank transfer might be entered in our accounts after the New Year holidays. In this case, these donations will be included in the donation certificate for the new year.

Individuals who draft a will to manage their estate during their lifetime often have well-defined intentions regarding the distribution of their finances and property. Donations of large amounts can be made immediately and without consultation. However, our experience teaches us that it often requires a longer decision-making process before making such a contribution. We will gladly provide you with personal advice and support. To cancel the direct debit authorisation, please let us know when you would like to stop the direct debits and provide the bank details from which the amounts have been deducted so far. We will cancel your authorisation at the end of the requested month and will send you a cancellation notice immediately. You will receive your donation receipt in February of the following year.

Your donation: flexible and meaningful
Would you like to support our work? There are many ways to do so. You can make a gift donation in the name of a friend or family member. In return, you will receive a gift certificate that you can give as a present.
Would you like to make a one-time or recurring donation? Both are possible. Simply select a six-monthly or annual donation frequency in our online form.
For many people, it’s a really special feeling to know their legacy will continue to do good in the world even after they pass away. You have the possibility to include Stiftung Kinder forschen in your will, either by leaving it a certain amount or designating it as an heir.
