Research: Results & Publications
The Foundation’s activities are continuously evaluated and accompanied by scientific research. Stiftung Kinder forschen sees itself as a learning organisation and promotes the exchange of knowledge between research and practice. In addition to carrying out continuous internal monitoring, with a focus on quality assurance and quality development, the Foundation works with renowned external partners who conduct long-term accompanying research aimed at ensuring scientifically sound practices.
Internal quality monitoring
Since 2009, the Foundation also regularly surveys the key players of the professional development programme (teachers and educators, trainers, and local network partners) to obtain their feedback on the programme offerings. The results of this quality monitoring are published in reports and are presented here.
What is the impact of the continuing professional development programme on the pedagogical staff?
The participants are generally very satisfied with the training courses at the Stiftung Kinder forschen. A longitudinal study has also confirmed the learning success of the educators with regard to several competences. Furthermore, an in-depth study identified the effects of the training on early computer literacy on the pedagogical work. An evaluation of the new training programme on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) points to the important role of the day care centre managers, who carry the training contents to a particular extent into the entire team and thus contribute to the anchoring of educational concepts in the institution.Read the full report
